The Voting period for the 2018 Municipal Elections began on Monday, October 15 at 10 am and will close on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 8 pm.

What's New in The 2018 Municipal Election?
Council has approved Internet/Telephone voting for the 2018 Municipal Elections. Eligible electors will be able to vote from a mobile device, computer, telephone, cell phone, iPad, or laptop. Internet voting provides voters with flexibility and convenience, reduces wait times at voting locations, delivers quick and accurate results, allows students and vacationers to vote from "anywhere" and provides voters with accessibility needs greater independence when casting their ballot. The Internet Voting web link will be active on October 15.
Voter Assistance Centres
Voter Assistance Centres will be available to eligible electors who need assistance with the voting process, who may not have internet access or a touch tone phone, or who need to be added to the Voters' List.

Did you get your Voter Information Letters?
Voter Information Letters were mailed out in September. The letter identifies each voter's ward and school support, along with important information about how to access online or telephone voting options.
If you did not receive a letter by October 1, or received a letter with incorrect information, contact the Elections Help Line at 905.420.4688

Lawn Signs and St Paul's On-the-Hill Food Bank
Please note that lawn signs can only be on your own property and may remain up until the end of the voting period – 8pm on October 22nd.
As the signs can function as bags, we have asked our supporters to consider turning the bag inside out and making a donation to the St. Paul's on-the-Hill Food bank. We will happily arrange for pickup of your donations after the voting period.
Led by Margaret Jocz, the amazing volunteers at this Food Bank serve over 4000 visitors per year and sustain approximately 10,000 people in Ajax and Pickering. All donations will be gratefully received and faithfully supplied to those who need them.

- Soup Including Chunky/Hearty Soups
- Peanut Butter
- Juice *28oz and Tetra Pac
- Odd Meat (Turkey, Chicken, Ham)
- Lunch Snacks
- Canned Vegetables (mixed)
- Meal Helpers (Sidekick, Hamburger Helper)
At this time they do NOT require: Dry Pasta,, Pasta Sauce, Canned Pasta, Baked Beans, Odd Beans (Kidney, Lentils etc.)
